David joined Burke & Herbert Bank in 2019 as the President & Chief Operating Officer. In 2020 he was named President & Chief Executive Officer and became Chair of Burke & Herbert Financial Services Corp. in 2023. David previously served as Chief Performance Officer and as affiliate President and Chief Executive Officer serving Michigan and Northwest Ohio, for one of the largest U.S. financial services institutions based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He also served as Chair, President, and Chief Executive Officer at a community bank in Wooster, Ohio. David earned his B.S. in Accounting at Westminster College.
Joseph is Executive Vice President and Director of Branch & Business Banking for Burke & Herbert Bank. He joined the Bank in 1995 as a management trainee and was appointed to his current role in 2016. He has served on the Board of Trustees for the Virginia Banker’s Association School of Bank Management, the Board of Directors of the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce, and the Board of Directors for Rebuilding DC|Alexandria. Joseph received a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing from Longwood University, is a graduate of the Virginia Banker’s Association School of Bank Management, the Stonier Graduate School of Banking, and completed the Wharton Leadership Program.
Emily is Burke & Herbert Bank’s Executive Vice President of Human Resources, having joined the Bank in 1992. Emily has experience in the areas of human resources, employee relations, employment law, employee development, training, leadership, and coaching. She is certified in the Leadership Circle Profile, the Hogan Personality Index, Associate Coaching from the International Coaching Federation, and Leadership Coaching from Georgetown University. She holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Maryland and an MBA from the University of La Verne.
Roy is Burke & Herbert Bank’s Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, joining the Bank in 2021. Previously, he served as the Chief Financial Officer for an affiliate of a large U.S. financial services institution in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His previous experience also includes a corporate finance role at a regional bank in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and several accounting, finance and investment roles over the course of sixteen years at regional and large financial institutions in Ohio and New York.  Roy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Accounting and an MBA, Finance at The Ohio State University.

Gregory is Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer for Burke & Herbert Bank. He joined the Bank in 2021 and served as Director of the Bank’s Commercial & Industrial Lending business prior to assuming his current position. He has over 20 years of experience in commercial banking in a variety of roles including credit management and business development in addition to lending. Gregory holds an MBA from the Mason School of Business Administration at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, and holds a BS degree in Business Administration from the University of Maryland, Smith School of Business in College Park, Maryland.

Shannon is Burke & Herbert Bank’s Executive Vice President, Wealth Services. Prior to starting in 2011, he was an area director of financial advisors at a large financial services company and held a senior role with a regional firm. Shannon graduated from the University of Mary Washington with dual degrees in Philosophy and Psychology. He holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®), Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®), and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) designations, FINRA Series 65, 24, 7, 6, 63 certifications, and holds Life and Health Insurance licenses.
Alexis is an Executive Vice President leading the Digital and Payments Strategy at Burke & Herbert Bank, including Marketing and Treasury Management. Alexis joined in 2019 to lead the build out of the Treasury Management services function bringing almost 20 years of experience in banking with a primary focus on commercial banking, payments and the advancement of digital solutions and customer experience. Her experience includes sales and solution strategy, multiple mergers, core and product conversions as well as new product and solution rollouts. She attended the University of Nebraska, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Information Studies from Bellevue University, and maintains a Certified Treasury Professional certification and completed a certificate in Digital Transformation through MIT.
Jennifer is the Chief Compliance Officer for Burke & Herbert Bank, a role she has held since joining in 2014. Jennifer has more than 30 years of experience in strategy, operations and compliance management. She earned a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Villanova University, a Master of Science in Engineering Mechanics from Cleveland State University and a dual Master of Business Administration and Master of Engineering Management from Northwestern University. She is also a graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking.
Kendrick is Burke & Herbert Bank’s Executive Vice President, Operations, a position he has held since 2020. Previously he served as Treasurer for community banks in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and Dunmore, Pennsylvania. Kendrick also held a variety of Finance and Accounting positions at a community financial institution in Florida, including Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Central Michigan University and an MBA from Nova Southeastern University.
Jeffrey serves as Chief Credit Officer and Executive Vice President for Burke & Herbert Bank.  Joining the Bank in 2014, he is responsible for managing the overall credit function, including credit risk management, credit administration, commercial and retail underwriting and credit policy.  He also serves as Chair of the Loan Committee.  Jeff has over 40 years of experience holding progressively more responsible positions in credit and lending with both regional and community firms. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Operations Management from The Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Business Administration from Marymount University.
